My wife is from Illinois and has never had apple butter, I know right? So Irish People Try on YouTube was doing a "Try all things apple" episode and that had me wanting apple butter. However, when she told me she had never heard or had the item I knew what to do. In the early 1980s, I would visit the Amana Colonies every spring and had to place my order immediately. But the flat-shipping rate left me troubled but hey, it was "For my wife" right? She loved it but let me know I did it all wrong. Powering through the jar she asked how I did it, I showed her and before I knew it she had ordered more products from the store, (including apple butter) at $100.00 the flat shipping rate made sense. Love Amana products, and love the colonies, now I have to take her there, it is just 23 hours away by car so... Road trip!
I’ve eaten lots of apple butters but Amana is easily the most flavorful. Smells great too.
I received Amana Apple Butter as a gift and now I’m giving it as gift for the holiday, plus I had to get us another.
I have never had such good apple butter. When I left Amana i regretted not buying more than one jar. I was so happy to discover that I could order it on line. I can not get enough of it!
